It’s Not All About the Tutus by Sarah Hoeppner
Sarah Hoeppner’s work is based on the young dancers of the town of Perry. Several years ago, she created her first few ballet paintings as a local dance aficionado. Through that process, she found herself falling in love with the motion of the dancers. She then worked with the dance studios of Perry to create from life. She used the young dancers as her models to produce more works. Through her observation, Sarah discovered how hard these children worked behind the scenes. This revelation instilled even more passion into her work, as she illuminated an often unseen aspect of these young people’s lives. She could translate their hard work through her own creations and bring that magic to the eyes of more people.
The public is invited to attend the reception for Sarah’s work on Thursday January 16th, starting at 6:00pm.
