GO ART! PROGRAM DIRECTOR
F/T (40 hrs/wk)
Overview: Dynamic, multi-talented
individual to work closely with the Executive Director on coordination and
implementation of all GO ART! programming, marketing, fundraising, special
events and information technology. Flexible hours.
In collaboration
with the Executive Director, job responsibilities will include:

Coordination of marketing, publicity and advertising for all public
programs sponsored by GO ART! in Genesee and Orleans Counties, including
creation and maintenance of press releases, promotional materials, web
site/e-newsletter content, and program-related brochures/flyers;

Coordination and implementation of public programs sponsored by GO ART! in
Genesee and Orleans Counties, including contact with artists and host
organizations, in cooperation with other staff;

Supervision and coordination of all facility use, such as overseeing
rentals, set-up/take down and contracts;
- Develop proposals for programs/events
that could attract new funding;
- Develop, coordinate and implement all
fundraising activities to help successfully achieve fundraising budget;
- Plan, coordinate and implement wide
range of special events, to include volunteer recruitment and direction;
- Research, identify and pursue new
funding streams, including earned and contributed revenue sources;
- Expand base of support and maintain
and strengthen relationships with existing funders and prospects; generate
increased income from existing sources;
- Secure individual and corporate
sponsorships for projects/events; identifying potential donors through
effective research, outreach and relationship building;
- Primary point person for artists and
cultural organizations for basic development services and information,
plus referrals, as appropriate;
- Assist in oversight of information
technology, such as organizational database, networking,
implementation/troubleshooting of technology, and advising on
integration/upgrades of technology for organizational administration;
- Serve on various local committees
related to community cultural planning;
- Other duties as assigned.
Successful candidate
must possess:
- Undergraduate degree;
- Strong writing, communication,
organizational, budgeting and interpersonal skills;
- Experience in marketing/public
relations;
- Organizational and leadership skills;
- Appreciation of artistic expression;
- Computer knowledge of networks,
database, desktop publishing and MS Office programs required;
- Prefer previous experience planning
and organizing fundraising events;
- Flexible schedule.
